When hypnosis is used for treating a physical or psychological clinical problem, the process is called clinical hypnosis.  Hypnosis can be defined as an altered state of awareness, consciousness or perception.

Modern clinical hypnosis is usually dated from about 1773.  The term “hypnosis” was coined by James Braid, M.D. in 1841.  The American Medical Association approved of the use of hypnosis as a therapeutic technique in 1958.

The time for a hypnotic treatment varies and like other treatment procedures it depends on the nature of the problem and the individual.  Treatment may be as short as one session or may require several sessions.

However, we are confident that you will be happy with the results.  Your session can be recorded so that you will be able to use the audio CD in the on your own whenever you feel that a little post-hypnotic reinforcement is needed.

Thank you for your interest in clinical hypnosis and we hope that you will be contacting us in the near future to schedule your hypnosis session.
